Bold Stories was born to bring together the best of the two worlds of its founders, Maurelli & Rossi: the world of strategy and the world of storytelling. Cristina Maurelli is a storyteller, author, and communication expert who has written for TV, theater, and film; Giuditta Rossi is a brand strategist and designer of methodologies for corporate communication.
After many years of working in both profit and non-profit sectors, both became aware of a methodological gap: the lack of an effective, easy-to-apply method to build strategic, high-quality identities and communications using storytelling frameworks that also take into account diversity and representation.
To strengthen every kind of project, we select the boldest people, those who align with our philosophy. Here are some of our Bold Stories Experts.

We are often called upon to give talks and masterclasses at corporate conventions, events, and festivals. It’s our way of sharing our philosophy and activating people. We talk about authenticity and boldness, and how we can challenge the standard together.
We love to hybridize, mix, and contaminate: high and pop culture, public and private, art and business. We love doing it through stories because they unite, amplify, and spark meaning. We seek out unusual opportunities to present our model and tools. We believe that to become bold, it’s necessary to challenge standards, even cultural ones, awaken thoughts and insights, and build new paths for imagining and creating innovative and transformative projects.
A bold story helps recognize and surpass the standards imposed by society. For this reason, we launched the Color Carne advocacy campaign, an integrated, multichannel campaign to change the perception of flesh color from pink to all the colors of humanity.
Thanks to thousands of shares, five major Italian dictionaries have changed their definition, and Google now reflects a mix of skin tones. The campaign was awarded at the European Diversity Awards.
To broaden the perspective to other underrepresented areas, Maurelli & Rossi also wrote Stereotipi a Colori – Piccola guida ai pregiudizi e ai bias cromatici (“Color Stereotypes – A small guide to prejudice and chromatic bias”, Flacowski ed). Colors become the protagonists of chromatic deconstruction: to rethink them, stimulate thoughts, and create new connections. Because those who are not represented do not exist.
