To achieve these goals, we designed a participatory strategic branding consulting experience for ZAAFDesign. This allowed us to identify the brand’s “Bold Character,” its narrative worlds, and its new positioning.
One of our favorite phrases to repeat is “People already have all the answers, but often they don’t know they do. We help them ask the right questions.” This experience strongly demonstrated this belief.
The composition of the team participating in the consultation was particularly interesting. Alongside management and those responsible for communication and marketing, we involved engineers and product managers, the core of Industrial Design activity.
While initially perceived as an unusual choice, it immediately became clear to the team that bringing diverse skills to the table is crucial for seizing often overlooked opportunities. Having a diverse team in terms of skills allowed for a thorough analysis of the brand and its assets, capturing valuable insights and intuitions to address multiple objectives.
At the end of the consulting process, the output was the Bold Stories Strategy Book, our unique and personalized strategic and operational document, which serves as a clear guideline for actions to be taken. The team embraced it with a roadmap for short-, medium-, and long-term application.
Results
Immediately after the consultation period, the team reported receiving recognition in terms of awareness, reputation, and brand association with key themes, which directly impacted business by acquiring new customers and retaining current ones.
One of the most valuable additions resulting from the consultation was the codification of a ZAAFDesign method, allowing the brand’s accumulated experience over the years to be clearly, distinctly, and effectively communicated to its clients.
An enjoyable “side effect” of the brand consultation was also the strengthening and empowerment of the team, which gained awareness of its value and found new strength and energy to successfully develop its projects.
